The 2011 Save More, Matter More campaign ended May 31— and what a success! PGE and Energy Trust of Oregon thank the nearly 900 businesses who joined the campaign this year.

We especially congratulate roughly 650 companies who started — or continued — down the road to efficiency by signing up for free energy consultations.

The road to efficiency
It’s easy to recognize the value of energy efficiency, and there are lots of ways to improve yours. You may decide to start with low-cost strategies like installing programmable thermostats and then move on to bigger things later, or you may want to capture greater savings right away with smart investments that pay back quickly, like adding occupancy sensors or replacing outdated T12 light fixtures.

No matter what you do, remember that efficiency is a journey — you don’t have to do it all at once. Each time you implement a project, you’ll save energy right away and eventually transform your company. The sooner you start, the more you’ll save.
