This Web-based program is ideal for manufacturing and production facilities, where equipment load counts for the greatest part of electricity costs.
How E-Manager works
PGE gathers interval load data from your location using a smart meter, which records more detailed data than a regular electric meter would. The information is available to you via a password-protected Web site. All data is archived for future reference, and the information is private and secure.
Numerous charting possibilities
With E-Manager, you can build in-depth customized reports using a wide variety of tables, graphs and charts. The charts show a detailed breakdown of your daily energy use in 15- or 30-minute intervals. With this information you can:
- Compare current operating data with historical information
- View monthly, weekly, daily and hourly data
- See when your operation is using the most energy
- Generate “average day” profile and a “peak day” profile for comparison
- Identify abnormalities and trends in your usage and help determine causes, such as hidden equipment problems
- Optimize operations by adjusting energy use
- Monitor the effectiveness of your energy-efficiency measures
- Synchronize data on your energy use, production and local weather to identify relevant trends
Costs
The monthly fee for E-Manager starts at $60 per meter*. This is based on one to five meters; contact PGE for special pricing information if you have more than five meters.
